PersonalisationEvery product in the catalogue is priced ‘personalised as described’.In most cases this is ‘printed 1 colour in 1 position’, but exceptions are clearly shown in the description of each product. For multi-colour/position printing, please contact us for a firm price as additional costs vary depending on the individual product. Where there is no mention of personalisation in the description of a product, that product is priced plain. This is normally due to the variety and different charges of print methods available. For plain product that you require personalised, please contact us, so that we can give you the various options available. Methods of personalisationScreen PrintingApplying ink through a stencil screen. Ideal for plastic, PU and, in some cases, clothing and metal products. Tampo PrintingThe transference of ink on to a product by means of a rubber pad. Ideal for the same materials as screen printing and used when applying to a curved surface e.g. golf balls. Die StampingA heated metal die is pressed into the surface of the product leaving an impression. Ideal for leather or solid metal surfaces. Hot Foil BlockingAs die stamping but putting colour foil between the die and the product, leaving a colour filled impression. N.B. foil colours are restricted and it is not possible to match PMS colours. Diamond Cut, Laser Engraving, Sand Blasting or Inverted EngravingThe personalisation is cut into the product, except in the case of inverted engraving which leaves a raised impression. Ideal for metal and glass products. EmbroideryThe embroidery of up to six colours directly on to the product. Ideal for most clothing, bags and caps. OriginationOrigination is the general term referring to the creation of the actual screen, die, template or jacquard needed to apply your personalisation requirements to each product. A separate screen is required for each colour/design and will be charged accordingly. For exact repeat orders, the origination can be re-used, although there may be a set-up’ charge for setting up the machinery required. Origination costs can vary dramatically depending on the product and the type of personalisation required. The chart below gives a rough guide to origination and personalisation costs.
